Destination Weddings in Deauville

Marry in  Deauville, the ultimate city of elegance!  Deauville will enchant you with its long sandy beaches covered with striped parasols and its famous boardwalk.  Deauville is known not only for its beautiful beach and boardwalk, but for its two marinas, luxury hotels and casinos, horse auctions and racecourses, beautiful golf courses and film festivals. This fashionable little port is quite welcoming and has managed to combine chic with charm.  Deauville is a wonderful location year-round for your wedding!

Since its inauguration in 1859 by Napolean III’s half-brother the Duke of Morny, Deauville has been the resort of choice for the rich and famous.  Deauville entered into fashion history when Coco Chanel opened her shop here in 1913 and 1920’s ushered in Deauville’s heyday.  In 1923 the famous boardwalk was built and one could see royalty, movie stars, and industrialists from all over the world strolling along the shore.  The construction of the Deauville airport in 1931 along with the construction of a railroad line made Deauville even more easily accessible.

Deauville has remained true to its elegant tradition since that golden era.  Today the bungalows along the boardwalk are named after famous movie stars or directors and the town continues to be the jet set’s playground.

As one of Northern France’s most prestigious resorts, Deauville offers visitors a wide variety of services.  From five-star world class hotels to tiny B and B’s, big casinos to cosy cafés, the area offers a myriad of support services for you and your guests to plan a memorable wedding reception and ceremony.
