Destination Weddings in Pacy-sur-Eure

This little village  was chosen by Saint Louis, King of France for his honeymoon in 1231.  What could be more romantic?

Located halfway between Paris and Deauville, the tiny village of Pacy-sur-Eure is a wonderful location for your wedding in Normandy.

Pacy sur Eure has always played an important part in Norman history.  Once the property of Richard the Lionhearted, Pacy was fortified in 1119 by Eustache de Breteuil.  The town was given to the English by Richard the Lionhearted only to be taken by Philippe Auguste, the French king, in 1193. It is said that Templar Knights made Pacy sur Eure their home in the 15th century.

Enjoy strolling through the Romantic Garden hidden on a tiny island in the Eure or in the surrounding countryside where soft light and rolling hills have inspired artists like Monet who resided just a few miles away.

Kings, knights and artists have passed through the tiny town of Pacy-sur-Eure and this lovely location could be your choice for a unique wedding in Northern France.
