Unique spot. |
| Setting |
The church is located at the entrance of this remarkable village of lovely stone houses once inhabited by royalty and cobblestone streets where visitors can stroll peacefully and enjoy a magical atmosphere. The building is a listed history monument and has a rich history of resisting sieges of the city of Pérouges. It was even destroyed by the citizens of Pérouges in the late 15th century in order to rebuilt the city's ramparts. Fortunately it was entirely rebuilt by the year 1479 and today it is in pristine condition. |
| Interior |
Well preserved frescoes on the church's columns, wood statues from the 14th century, tombs and lateral chapels. One can admire the Savoy coat of arms carved into the church's stone: the Savoy princes fought long and hard against the Dauphin's princes to rule this sought after city. |
| Accommodations |
